I'm curious what people think of this and any help. I fear it might be too
weak and I'm halfway building off some one else's idea The Strategist. Yes,
this is a little tongue in cheek, but I am hoping to make it a serious
avatar.

It all started with Bobby Fischer really. If it wasn't for him this
archetype would have taken longer to come about or may not even be up there
yet. See, this used to be called The Strategist, Bobby ascended kept the
same basic name, but the focus he put on it had Chess connections. Big
mistake on his part, and one thing Strategists shouldn't do is make
mistakes.
Chess is played by nerds and they were the avatars of this new age
Strategist. Nerds were also playing roleplaying games and channeling this
while doing so. Not a big deal, took strategy to plan even fake wars. It
tied games more closely to the avatar though. Then the 80s brought forth the
video game, adding onto the idea of gaming and strategy. All this was
building up for 1990 and the first Nintendo World Championships. One would
assume the winner would have been the one to ascend through all this, one
would be wrong. The person that ascended was an eight year old Japanese
boy, the first person in the world to beat Super Mario Bros. in under three
minutes.
*Taboo: *The Gamer can't pass up a challenge. If challenged to a game where
there is no obvious immediately danger in accepting (not losing, just in
accepting) the gamer must accept or risk losing connection to his Archetype.
*
Symbols: *Dice, gaming books, video game controllers, guitar hero,
miniatures, chess, and go are all symbols of The Gamer. Cheetos, Mountian
Dew, and Pizza are preferred foods.
*
Suspected Avatars: *Gary Gygax.*
Masks: *Travis Touchdown (No More Heroes).
*
Channels:
1 - 50% *The Gamer is full of obscure knowledge, rules, and strategy. When
entering into a game situation an Avatar: The Gamer roll may be made, if
successful The Gamer learns all rules, even unspoken, of the game and gains
a hunch.
*51 - 70%* The Gamer builds off his obscure knowledge, once per day he can
build off his obscure knowledge. Pulling out a strategy guide or gaming book
he flips through it and makes an Avatar roll. If successful he sees a piece
of information relevant to the current situation presented in the way the
book he used would.
For example: Before encountering an enemy The Gamer decides to use this
channel. He picks up a DnD book flips through it and finds an entry. It
tells him this foe is good at shooting things dead and he decides to stay in
the back under cover.
*71 - 90% *At this level, The Gamer has seen it all....in virtual form. If
he fails a stress check he may roll on his Avatar: The Gamer to ignore the
stress. If successful he gains no harden or failed notch.
*91+%* The knowledge The Gamer has increases to find weak points. He may
spend an action to show that weak point on any foe. The weak point is a
little red dot on the body. This lasts a number of rounds equal to the ones
digit of The Gamers Avatar skill. If a called shot by any one is made to
that spot and the attack is successful, they roll two extra dice and add
them to the damage dealt.
