[UA] Suicide countdown

The hideous thing about this setup is the untenable situation it's put
the suicide claimant in. When that clock hits zero, she has to either
do it or be a fraud in front of a huge audience. That's the sort of
thing that could prompt a person who's even conflicted about it to
carry through.

Or I suppose she could fake her own death.

It's sad though. I mean, even if a suicide threat IS just a plea for
attention, it's pretty pathetic to have to go that far. It's like when
someone panhandles me for a buck and I hear "You know, there are
college kids who do that sort of thing for a scam." I say, if you have
to scam people for a buck you've got bigger problems than I've got for
being soft hearted.

You know why there aren't any caped, masked supervillains in real life?
Because real evil geniuses are too busy thinking things like "When we
lay out this pharmacy, we'll put the do-it-yourself digital camera
developer right next to the candy rack, and make the developer REALLY
SLOW so that parents -- who are the people taking the most pictures --
cave in and buy sweets for their toddlers. BWAH HA HA HA!"
