Winter dipping could be potentially life threatening, especially if you'd lose the charge for wearing a wetsuit / dry suit.

There was a report in one of the London papers today about someone dying from a (I think) Vagal heart attack - where the sudden shock of diving into the sea without a wetsuit causes the Vagus nerve to spaz out and stop the heart.

Let alone plain and simple Hypothermia.

But then, it's always been my contention that significant charges should hurt sometimes.
