Hey there.

Since this Best of Unknown Armies 2 is going so damn
fucking slow I¡¦m going to post some things up here
for the jeers of my peers.

Now all of you post something.

I¡¦ll post one a time for easier dissemination.

Legging It: Movement in Unknown Armies

At certain times characters are going to give chase to
a fleeing creep. Legging after a suspected sleaze can
whet players to the thorough beating they¡¦re going to
be giving the hoodlum once they get him.

Getting started requires someone to be the Quarry and
run away from the characters. The Chasers are everyone
running after the Quarry.

The objective for is each character in the chase to
pile enough successes with his Running Skill so that
it exceeds the opponent¡¦s Speed stat before it
reaches the character¡¦s Wound score. 

At the Start-up the guy who is going to be the Quarry
rolls his running skill. The default skill is General
Athletics, but any similar skill may be applied.

The Running Total
Each character rolls his General Athletics skill and
notes the result. Every round afterwards, each rolls
their General Athletics skill and adds the sum of the
roll to the first amount. This is the Running Total.

Each skill check is considered Significant, if either
runner fails the skill check but rolls under the
governing Stat temporarily the character doesn¡¦t
modify his Running Total. If the character fails and
rolls above the skill¡¦s governing Stat, he fumbles
and takes the sum of the roll as damage.

Using other skills while running
If you use another skill while running, you can forgo
a roll during the next round.

Quarry
„PIf the Quarry¡¦s Running Total exceeds his current
Wound score he loses because he simply cannot run
anymore.

„PIf the Quarry¡¦s Running Total exceeds the lead
Chaser¡¦s Speed stat, he wins At that point the
Chaser¡¦s cannot catch up, and the Quarry is too far
ahead.

Chaser
„PIf the Chasers Running Total exceeds his current
Wound score, he is exhausted and cannot run anymore.
„PIf the Chaser¡¦s Running Total exceeds the Quarry¡¦s
Speed stat, the Chaser has caught up with the Quarry.

Running with cars
If the characters have car involved consider the car
to over take each Running Total by Drive skill result
as long as the skill check rolls under the driver¡¦s
Speed stat. If any runner is involved in an accident
with a car, the rules for car crashes take over. (See
Car Chases; UA2 pg. 59)

The GM may wish to work in hazards or additional
effects for Matched Pairs. He can work in pedestrians,
spilled trash, stitches, obstacles, slippery puddles,
etc.
