John, what was the word count on LG$? I usually get somewhere between 3
and 8 cents a word.
(Big swing, huh? I take the smaller sums for really cool projects that are
labors of love but, I have to be honest here, all the recent spectacular
flame-outs in my career have been on those small level projects. So I'm
now very, VERY gunshy about cranking out $2000 worth of work only to have a
company say "Gee, we decided to go with someone else. Thanks awfully
though! We still like you a whole lot!")

It's embarassing to admit this, especially in this forum, but my UA
creative jones is at a pretty low ebb after doing BT, To Go and GODWALKER
in such short succession.

"These hardhat deconstruction-workers harass stories as if they were gals
passing on the sidewalk. They yell out stuff that's not only obnoxious,
but completely bizarre and impenetrable. It's like they yell: 'Hey, check
out the pelvic bio-mechanics on that babe! What a set of hypertrophied
lactiferous tissues!'"
