[UA] Queer Eye for the Coming Apocalypse

Actually he's quite right about the Mystic Hermaphrodite connection. But
it's not what you think.
When a certain defiler got his hands on a certain Hermaphrodite Avatar a
series of events were set in motion like a tsunami. This hermaphrodite, "Jo
Andros" was born a true, biological hermaphrodite. Unlike most avatars, he
not only plays the role, he is the role. This symbolically connects him in
an unusual way to his Archetype: Power flows not only down to him, but back
from him to the Archetype. The Hermaphrodite is about going both ways,
after all.
Since this connection works both ways, the defilement of Jo echoed
powerfully in the Statosphere. The Hermaphrodite (a truly ancient
archetype, based in intuition and mysticism, already weakening in today's
too cut-and-dried culture) toppled. Too primal to actually exist in this
world, its power instead was released, some of it went to the defiler, and
some went to Jo. Both were catapulted ahead unexpectedly on their paths.
Adepts in the vicinity got charges unexpectedly. Unnatural phenomena
occured all around.
But we're just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
One of these days magick is going to fall flat on its face. Everyone's
gonna lose their charges, and no one will know why. The role of the
hermaphrodite isn't totally empty though... it'll come back, little by
little. But until someone fills that role, magick's gonna be on shaky feet.
Thats what Queer Eye is showing, confusion, yes, but ultimately there is a
RIGHT answer. There's seperation, not integration.
The path is wide open for the Freak, it could step up and take over anytime
it wanted... What is it waiting for?

Now I see where you're headed. Hm. You're right, it is tough. I'm
getting mystic hermaphrodite vibes, but that's not quite right.
Gay men teaching a straight man how to win over straight women? There's
some paradox mojo. And why do they always run to and from their
queermobile?
Maybe there's some old-school Hermes/Mercury action going on.
(Messengers of fashion, speeding from one recipient to the next.... I
imagine the answer is "no", but do any of them wear Nikes?)
This is all blindingly obvious to someone on the list....
