Well, I'd like to collect some thoughts that might
make up for the aborted Otherspace section.
I figure they have the a few variables, which fall
into broad descriptions:
------
1) Location.
- Fixed (appears in only one place)
- Categorical (can appear at a type of location, or a
set of specific locations)
- General (can appear anywhere)
2) Frequency.
- Constant (always connected to the world)
- Conditional (only manifests at a specific time or
after a certain action)
- Random (appears and disappears without a schedule)
3) Third is Extent
- Contained (a Room, building or courtyard)
- Expansive (a wide open space, or one without set
boundries)
4) Fourth is Stability
- Static (the room is always the same)
- Variable (contents are consitant, but arrangement
may shift)
- unpredictable (the otherspace evolves greatly over
time, and may not be recognizable from one trip to
another)
------
Any other ideas for what an otherspace requires? Any
ideas for what it can do? Should there be different
variables for entering and exiting, or would that mke
it too complicated
