This is an idea for a minor artifact. I'd appreciate any comments, and if
it doesn't seem out of line I'll post it on the UA site.

For those outside the US, this is the golden dollar:

This minor artifact is a bane of contention between the Avatars of the
Mother and the Flying Woman. The original basis for this artifact, the
Susan B. Anthony dollar[1] ceased production in 1999. It was a popular
choice for the basis of a Lucky Charm artifact for Avatars of the Flying
Woman.
The golden dollar only functions when possessed by either an Avatar of the
Mother or an Avatar of the Flying Woman.
For Avatars of the Mother it provides a %10+ bonus to the Mothers second
Avatar channel ( protecting children ) provided the channel is available to
the Avatar without the bonus.
To Avatars of the Flying Woman, however, this artifact provides a %10- shift
to the Avatar:Flying Woman skill's third channel ( overcoming restraint /
imprisonment ). This wasn't intended, but appears to be a side effect of
the ritual.
A golden dollar is enchanted by dipping the coin in amniotic fluid from a
woman who gave birth naturally ( no cesarean births or pain killers ), then
wearing the coin on a woman's back ( presumably tied or otherwise held in
place ) for three days. It is a single use item.
Some Avatars of the Flying Woman are trying to develop golden dollars which
provide a bonus to the Avatar:Flying Woman skill to allow flight for those
who normally aren't powerful enough to channel the Mother in that way. The
name of the woman on the coin ( Sacagawea ) translates to 'Bird Woman' after
all. They haven't had much luck yet, but have made some golden dollars that
function as Lucky Charms. The confusion between the two versions can be
interesting.
