Yeah, but that guy with the ten hardened notches is on his way to
robot-land, if not there already.  He's already screwed.

And for anyone who's running a CoC game using UA madness meters, one option
for this issue is to have Cthulhu and other 1d100 San loss entities qualify
as a "rank 11" madness check.  *Everyone* has to roll.  Such things are
absolutely beyond human comprehension.
