Well, I recieved some beautiful orchids from my girlfriend in Maine the day before Valentine's Day (which, scarily enough, made the day before Friday the 13th). Valentine's Day itself was a rather ho-hum affair consisting of pizza, beer and three guys sitting around watching The Rundown (aka Welcome to the Jungle) and Equilibrium on DVD.

Re: Equilibrium. People have been saying it's the UK version of the Matrix. It's not. Get over it. It is, however, incredible on pretty much all levels, from it's Orwellian portrayal of conformity through pharmaceuticals to the absolutely mind-blowing action sequences that easily outstrip the Matrix in cool factor, technical merit, cinematography and sheer bloody class.

See it. Love it. Buy the DVD. Have Christian Bale's children.
