Once you summon them, for a long while they whisper to you. They are the spirits of those who have slipped through the cracks of society into misery. They want company.
They whisper:
"Don't shave, put on that tie, fill your car with gas. Don't go to work.
Why stifle all of those feelings, those theories, the ideas you have that you don't tell anyone?
Scream your genius from the street-corner. Gather totems of power in a shopping cart and walk the streets until you find the answers. If you find the answers fast, the question wasn't big enough.
You certainly won't find any wisdom in that fucking cubicle."
Pay bills, going to work for a week straight, filling out tax forms, renewing your driver's license are all ways to banish these spirits. But there are tales of those who summon them again and again, until the voices never stop whispering.
How long do you think you could ignore them?
