You could always change it yourself to get the
synchronous appearance or add it in as an extra
ability. 

I find it more of a 1st Channel if anything. Its a
little weak for a 3th Channel.

Mind you, there is nothing stopping you giving the
taxi driver a magical Soul skill - Find the Best
Tippers - some sort of minor Mageekian adept formula
spell/ability.

And he has a paradox too; he must travel but not for
the necessity of others.
