Hyde Park, U Chicago, Australia - now you're talking! You've described
part of my life. :)

I think the list is uchicago related because someone was a student or
staff when it was set up, and it provided a decent location from which to
work.

When I was on campus there was a gaming club (Gamers on Campus, at least
when I was there). It was an undergrad club, but I don't think it turned
anyone away. This was more than a decade ago, though, so I can't speak to
its existence or quality anymore. But back then, there *were* good gamers
around...

Australia is pretty cool. Come visit, and you might just find yourself
deciding to stay... And talk about "once was a roleplaying center"!
Melbourne, where I live, housed an incredible concentration of writing and
designing talent back in the 80s and early 90s. Most of it didn't amount
to a whole lot, but there is still a florishing roleplaying scene over
here that is stronger than the relatively small population would lead you
to expect. And there is a lot of experimentation.

Plus there are cool UA people in several states... Why *do* the Sleepers
largely ignore the continent... Come find out!

Take care,

Liam
