Heh, I hope this quote wasn't posted on this list already. 
I am still reading messages from 26 Feb (God, I'm slow).

But I read this post on a BBS about UA damage.  I think
it's a beautiful anecdote.

Unknown Armies> No kidding.  I was trying to play a
modern-day paladin type character I'd dreamed up.  Pretty
cool concept: Harley motorcycle, black leather jacket with
a stylized cross on the back, mirror sunglasses, lives by
the code of chivalry, one of the tenets of which is never
to attack an opponent with a superior weapon.

So I'm in a hotel room, and three or four rednecks armed
with lead pipes come knocking on the room next door.  I
don't know that lead pipes are all they have, so I pull my
gun and leap out, surprising them.  Seeing that all they
have are lead pipes, I used my first action to put my gun
away...

They then kicked the shit out of me.
