Um, this is kind of related, and might be a spoiler. That said...
Okay, so two sessions ago I wrapped up "Eat It All" with a TNI gang,
who were suitably confused and disturbed. The aftermath has involved
the ex-Stazi returning periodically to blackmail Andy and Marcy into
turning over the rest of Clay's new book to TNI (the hook was that TNI
was interested in Clay because of a passage in his last book where a
man disappears completely and continues to narrate - an Ascension, or
just trash pulp?), which will at least be pull over Clay's publishers.
Which leads to question: what sort of mystic purpose could a voluntary
amputee and/or a cannibal (especially of a willing victim) serve? I
love the idea of throwing in offhand references to the German guy who's
been getting answers to his classified ads for meals, and then later
pulling back the curtain on a ritual or something that involves eating
a voluntary victim - and how serendipitous would it be to have handy
someone in the midst of such an act?
Also, incidentally, can anyone point out any rules recognition of the
difficulty of attacking someone with a long point thing who's intent on
preventing you? Specifically, one of my players is running a guy who
is obsessed with his swordsmanship, and was (understandably) upset when
I told him that UA combat doesn't incorporate the idea of a parry.
