[UA] UA Campaign - The 49 Wise Man

Hi All,
Just commenting about my campaign, that just started. As i told before, it
is vaguely based on "The Planetary", actuallyt, just the idea of it, since i
didnt even read the comic, just reviews. :)
Yesterday the players (Bruno Palermo and Bruno Nogueira) came to make their
characters. Bruno finished first, and we make a very fast mini session (the
game will happen at tuesdays, not sundays, but since we three had some free
time - im starting to hate this expression - yeasterday...).
Nogueira made a London Urbanomancer. Actually, he is german, but lives in
London for some years now. A journalist that had lost his illusions about
the glamour of the profession. Nogueira had some problems with UA. He is
used to WW games, and the lack of a skill list confused him. So, he got the
free skills, firearms, urbanomancy, and a couple from the suggested skills
on the book.
[and thats why i dont like the suggested skills (not the skill itself, but
the fact they are there). Pll tend to get those skills when they "need" a
skill list. They see it, as some kind of skill list, and preffer to grab
anything, instead of makin up, and thinking in some cool skills themselves]
Palermo is with a characters half finished. Just having problem with the
Noble Passion (we both think this is the hardest part of character
creation), and deciding wich kind of Hunter avatar he will be. One looking
for stuff, or a kind of hired killer.
About the plot...
Ronald Chalker work for the 49 Wise. This is a bit of real occult mythology,
with a UA spin. The 49 Wise are old type adepts that have banded togheter to
make the order prevail over the caos. They used to make the job of SG quite
easier. The problem is that most of the have been losing his magick
capabilities. Worst, they sense the invisible clergy is almost full (maybe
they even know who is there, and how many is there), and a small corruption
have taken their hearts...they want to stick and strech their lifes to the
next world incarnation.
Ronald Chalker is one of their operatives. Alive for more than 150 years
already, Chalker is what Indiana Jones would became if he was a lot better.
A real explorer, Chalker end up in a old Wise citadel, at India. He was them
"hired" to perform a number of services for them. Since the beggining of
this century, however, Chalker looks for solutions for the Wise, since they
can't leave their last citadel, the only place they now have, where their
powers still works.
The Campaing is a way to make the players/characters explore the occult
underground, and even trying to explain why the old magic has gone away.
Maybe, we on the list, know it, and maybe the Wise know it too, but they
can't believe is just that...a change in human subconscious. And thats what
Chalker is looking for: answer, and perhaps, even more questions. So, he and
the players will visit UA and Focault's Pendulum locations, characters and
organizations and it's histories, hidden agendas, and LOTs of adventure. :)
Maybe i even end up writing some short fictions about each campaign slice.
:)
So, what you guys think? Is a good idea? It sucks? Want to play a PBEM based
on it? :)

P.S.: The other players will be creating their characters tomorrow. Im not
sure, if just one more, or two will show up. :)
