I have three D&D coreworlds that I use in my campaigns, these worlds are
made up on different elements . Some references borrowed from the canonical
realms of Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance all thrown together
into a huge mix of fun and danger.

I was toying with the idea of creating my own contempary city like
Metropolis or Gotham and placing it on a map to have as a basis for a
campaign world.

I haven't really created a campaign world that the players are, usually its
been one shots adventures in spardoic places. One adventure there in New
York, next in some New England village, then off to the Northern Wilds of
Ontario, Canada.
