Yeah one of the crusades actually did not go to the 'Holy Land' instead
it took place in Southern France. Louis XYZ(?whichever) wanted to wipe
out the heretics which believed exactly that and of course he wanted to 
take over a couple of rich provinces.

In German they are called 'Katharer' look into the history of the city
Carcassonne and some others around there ...

Of course the Templars had something to do with it too and
then there is this nice trilogy - of 5 books - by Peter Berling (I 
believe at least the first has been translated) which describes the 
historical events a little different: 'Children of the Grail' (Kinder 
des Grals) but actually this has nothing to do with UA ... I think?

Maybe there is a conspiracy there, waiting to ... 'rule-the-world'?
