[UA] Godlike/UA crossover musings

Okay, so it's been a few weeks since I played the Godlike preview mission
with the rest of the staff from the game store I work at, and I've been
thinking. My UA players that were involved in the Godlike thing made sure
that they left the mission open to a sequel. What I've been thinking about
was how to integrate the Godlike setting into UA so that our regular
campaign can take advantage of the players' superhero hijinks.

So here's what I've got (but keep in mind that I'll gladly steal anything
better): In 1936 the Comte performed a ritual of amazing proportions (I'd
imagine this being the Magonian diplomat version, but that's me). I'm not
sure if he did this to try and speed up the whole cosmic reincarnation or
what. Any suggestions would be sassy. Basically the ritual was like Mak
Attax's Lesser Correspondence, but would be more aptly named
SuperGigantoMorphic Correspondence (Though nobody would ever use that title.
Don't worry.). Whereas Lesser Correspondence releases charges in small
random bursts, SGM Correspondence resulted in people developing superpowers,
bleeding off large amounts of energy from the Statosphere to fuel them. As
the war goes on, the Statosphere is trying to put a plug on the leak but for
some reason (little help?) the leak is only plugged with the dropping of the
bomb on Hiroshima. Some sort of cosmobabble reason then snaps reality back
and barely anybody remembers a thing. I say barely so that I can have the
Godlike characters that my players played show up in aged form remebering
what they did and why.

I'd also been toying with the more rapid iterations of the cosmic cycle
solution that some people use, so the archetypes would have all been filled
by the end of the war and now we're in this new postmodern kind of world,
but I like the long cycles (like the long sentences) better.

Basically I just wanted a way for my UA characters to find the important
little bauble from the Godlike mission at the Swap Meet when I run that part
of the adventure. That's why it ignores any future implications of the
Talents from the official Godlike timeline. Does this sound like it would
work? Does anyone have a better way of integrating the existence of
superheroes for a 10 year period into UA without completely screwing UA's
cosmology? My players don't know much about the big picture and aren't
going to question too much about it, and if they do, they'll have to do a
bunch of digging to find out anything. And they probably wouldn't care if
it was a "That's the way it is. Deal with it." kind of answer since they're
itching for a follow up, but I'd like to have something behind it all.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
