I had been lugged around to catholic churches and services for years while
my parents still had some control over me, most notably even in hardcore
catholic Bavaria, still I haven't ever seen the wine distributed even with a
whole horde of deacons etc. at the priest's beck and call. Our protestants
do give out the wine.

Still, I am going to ask my parents these days to clear this up if anyone
cares, they've got half a century's worth of surplus Catholicism under their
belts compared to me.
