It changed quite significantly in England in the early 80s,
about the same time (IIRC) that it became a matter of choice
whether the celebrant put the Host directly into your mouth,
or into your hands for you to place it into your mouth.

In the late 80's at Lourdes Communion was offered in both
kinds - ie both the Host and the wine were distributed to
all.
