Depends on your personal preferances.  I always
thought of it as just hrowing mojo at them.  In the
old, D&D view of magic, you were commanding vast,
cosmic forces that, to be frank, would just as soon
eat you for breakfast as throw fireballs at your
opponents.  With UA, the metaphysical energy is purely
personal, and comes from your own sacrifice.  All the
ritual of the spell is strictly internal.

Of course, this may not work as well for cliomancers....
