I use a sort of "fuzzy mojo" system, anyway.  During
my last UA game, for instance, I let some switch
between magic styles (completely ignoring the inherent
balance of the obsession rules, alas.)  Adepts could
use any method they wanted to build charges, but if
they broke even one taboo of any one of the styles
they used "pfft" all the mojo went away.  Worked fine,
but some people might not like the extra note-taking
it would require with Very Serious players.
