* There's an emoticon at the end; it is smiling; hence, it is intended as a
joke.
I admit that I generally ignore emoticons. I think they're stupid, I
don't use 'em myself, and I tend to overlook them in email. This can
sometimes lead to confusion and crossed wires. My apologies.
* I'm an expatriate Canberran, and (for better or worse) have a habit which
is not uncommon in those who grew up there: I reserve the right to
good-naturedly dump shit on anything and everything, including myself, my
friends and even things that I like. What can I say? We're weird like
that.
But since I don't know you, or the fact you're from Canberra, or the
default Canberra personality, you'll forgive me if I didn't assume you were
'good-natured'.
* I'm sure that everyone on the list is aware of the stereotypes of WoD
(especially Vampire) players: that they're either munchkins with a case of
"small game syndrome", or angst-ridden goths who can't tell the difference
between roleplaying a character and wholesale histrionics. I don't
consider myself to fall into either category, nor do I expect that most do.
If you don't think the stereotypes are generally true, why use them? Why
make a generalization that you know to be false?
And you might want to get that sore point looked at. #%o)
It's not a sore point, per se. But elitism in the RPG community shits me
across the board - just as I'd be irked if people on a WW forum dumped on UA
for no good reason. Why put another game (or games) down in order to talk up
one you like? Why not simply promote the game you like on its own merits?

Okay, it's started. His brain is wrong. If I empty this bag, we can collect
it as it runs out of his ears.
