I always wanted to apply an idea like this to a Big
Sci Fi setting, one where it's hard, if not
impossible, to pin down the kind of tech players are
going to run into.
Being able to do funky things with Organic Tech but
not so much with machines might be interesting, but it
would be more interesting to play off the ol'
scientist/engineer-as-magician cliche for ease of
roleplay.
I always figured a good sci fi game would need a
UA-like system. In an infinite universe, there ought
to be infinite skills.
