Grrr!  Where's my fire axe?  I mean, alright, I like
PRETENDING I'm an anthropomorphic fox... sometimes, or
a bear if I'm being voiced by Phil Harris, (or even
better, a half-frog, half-fish urbane 1920s roadster
enthusiast) but there's always that strong possibility
of smugness when you run into someone who asserts
their anthropomorphic foxdom, as if being a hairy,
stinky talking animal-headed monster is something to
be proud about. I mean, by some accounts, as a
30-year-old man, I'm a hairy stinking monster.  That
talking part is questionable.

What about those dog-headed giants form early European
lore? What if I claimed I was descended from them?  I
wouldn't be PROUD of that.  Grrrrr. 

The thing that really bugs me is that I'm not entirely
sure what bugs me so much.
