I think things are improving. I've been "Australian detail checker" for two
Hunter sourcebooks from White Wolf - and while I have some quibbles with the
portrayal of Australia in the HUNTER SURVIVAL GUIDE, they're only minor
quibbles.

And don't forget, Australia is the leader of the free world in TRINITY. And
while the main rulebook may have mispelled Sydney and forgotten about
Brisbane, the AURORA AUSTRALIS sourcebook was written by two Aussies (in
different states) and gets everything right.

Australia makes a good locale for some games - isolation and wide open
spaces, but still plenty of people in big cities, plus cliches like
kangaroos and the Dreamtime. I've been seeing bits of Oz crop up more and
more in the RPG market - mostly as a throwaway locale, but at least it's not
another bit set in Manhattan.
