Greetings from DEMONGROUND: Reflections of a Darker Future!

As you will recall, the last time you heard from us, we were brimming with
excitement over our Nomination for the 2000 Origins Award for Best Amateur
Game Periodical!  That nomination represents far more than the effort we,
your staff put into the layout of each issue, but also speaks to the quality
of work we get from each of our contributors.  Without each and every one of
you, whether you've written a couple of paragraphs, or multiple full-sized
modules - whether you've contributed a full-color cover or multiple line-art
sketches - or even if you are just one of our many loyal fans who take it
all in each quarter, and keep coming back for more.  DEMONGROUND is a
community effort, and this Nomination is something we can all take a measure
of pride in saying we've been a part in it.

While the Nomination itself is quite an honor, the real challenge is walking
away with the Big Prize.  That is where we find ourselves turning once again
to our many fans.

Online Voting for the 2000 Origins Award is now underway!  Printed ballots
are available in a number of gaming magazines like Dragon, Pyramid and Games
Unplugged.  But the real difference this year is in the online balloting.

Starting this year, anyone with an e-mail address and internet access can
cast their vote for the final prize.  Simply go to the Origins Award online
voting booth at http://www.originsawards.com/ ,  click on "Voting" in the
upper left menu bar, fill in your contact info and then "Go Vote!"  There
are a lot of categories, and you are not required to cast votes for
all of them.  All we ask, is that when you get down to the "Best Amateur
Game Periodical of 2000" section, you select DEMONGROUND as your choice.
The only trick to the entire process, is that once you submit that vote,
you will be sent an e-mail giving you a recap of your choices.  At the
bottom of that e-mail is a hotlink back to the Origins Award web site.
YOU MUST CLICK THAT LINK TO REGISTER YOUR VOTE!!!

Please pass this message on to anyone you know who enjoys our magazine.  We
need all the help we can get.  Not only are we running against publications
that have been repeatedly nominated in the past, but last year's winner is
in the list as well!

This is our Darkest Hour!  Help us, DEMONGROUND subscriber...  You're our
only hope!
