I don't think that there's a big problem in making the "flavour" of the
Archetype be somewhat mythical in nature. I mean, yes, we all know that
Archetypes should have honest to god historical people in them, or they
aren't really Archetypes, but there have been cannibals. From there, I
think it's okay to put a mystic twist on it. After all, kings aren't
/really/ connected with the land.
