I consider chocolate one.<<<

I definitely consider sugar to be a drug - as a diabetic, consuming sugar
*will* have a noticeable effect on my body and on my behaviour. Different
types of sugar can have different effects, and too much can make me *very*
sick.

I can sometimes be rather reserved in social situations; I raise strong
mental shields or my empathy leaves me quite vulnerable to being affected by
the emotions of others. However, if I go to a party and decide to tango with
the girls and flirt with the boys, I eat a bunch of grapes and the fructose
turns me into a dancing disco diva...

Naturally, my diseased physiology allows this unusual effect. But I'll get
to the point:

 >>>I imagine Entropomancers, who are constantly risking their lives to get
the rush/thrill of a charge would consider Cliomancers to be a bunch of
soft-core sissies.<<<

Ultimately I think that this is irrelevant. What do cliomancers care what a
bunch of bodybags think? The cliomancers possibly *made* them think that.

The important issue (that I was alluding to with the sugar thing) is not how
you get the charge, but how big a charge you get. Some people need really
hard or dangerous activity to charge up; some people can get charges from
something less dangerous, less illegal, or less expensive.

Both get charges. Sure, the bodybag might scoff at the "soft" cobweb farmer,
but ultimately who wins?

I may die earlier than some people due to various health complications, but
no bunch of grapes is ever going to kill me. They're damn cheap, too. Don't
take this as a criticism of other lifestyles (judge not lest you be judged
and all); I'm just defending the cliomancers. :)

Tangent: I had a dream about cancer this week. because I was dying, people
made a special effort to be nice to me, and I got to meet rock stars. A
whole bunch of them - a conversation with Tori Amos and Iggy Pop is a weird
thing.

Cheers,
