[UA] Feedback on UA-ish convention scenario concept

I'll try not to give away too many clues, but the
first paragraph is a little tricky:

I suggest making the central plot centered around an
attempt to escape the unreal.

You could tell the players that they all seem to be
stuck in some sort of dream realm (maybe even
fairyland or Alice's Wonderland) where they have to
keep re-living parts of their lives and there's some
guy (the GM) who seems to have access to the real
world, but won't let them through.  A concerned and
caring, but firm and enigmatic guardian.

You might want to give all the players a common focus
-like a man who keeps showing up, in the mirror, for
instance, when no one should be there, or whose name
is mentioned on various sinister documents they
players keep finding or even have in their possession.
 You also may want to provide a clear, physical
delineation of the mental world from the physical
world.

For instance, you could have the main GM sit in one
room, in a comfortable chair (a room with appropriate
-sorry to be vague- texts on a bookshelf, some light
music and a couch to sit on.)  Then stipulate that
players may only come in to see the GM one at a time. 
(that's how this sort of problem always seems to
manifest itself.)

Some players may have the power to yank weaker ones
out of the GM's space (the GM, is, of course, in the
"real world") and there may be other GMs in the dream
world who act like dream mages or Cruel Ones.

Ultimately, of course, you want all the players
interlinked.  Each character should be aware of at
least one other and in conflict with that person
(maybe they know that the other player's character did
something BAD or suspect that their actions got them
all into this mess.)

A neat little easter egg would be to hide the
knowledge of dream-o-mancy (Oneiromancy?, I forget the
proper title and my knowledge of Greek and Latin roots
could use a little brushing up.)  So, if the right
combination of players get together, they may find an
escape from the dream realm (maybe into some poor
schmuck on the street's body.)
