Linda Medley does this comic book called "Castle
Waiting." It features an order of Nuns called
Solicitines. They follow the example of St. Wilgefort
(one of the saints who got nixed from the canon along
with St. Christopher. Sad that.)

Anyway, the solicitines have a saying, "sufficient
unto each day is the evil thereof." They're sort of a
meddling order, purposely getting involved where they
shouldn't, bending the rules where it suits a higher
purpose and, in general, trying to help people live
better. They'll certainly suffer a witch to live if
no one else is going to hell over it. They don't mind
talking to a demon and undestand that, into every
life, a little temptation must fall. It's one of
those orders like the Franciscans started out to be.
They allow everyone to get to God in their own way,
with maybe a sneaky push or two along the way. They
know that religion doesn't have to be a dour slog
through a weary life. They treat their ministries
like a sideshow and use their pulpit like a carnival
barker would use a fruit crate. Most of them are
showmen, particularly ex-carnie members and they try,
in general, to give the world a little more slack.
Sort of like Mack Attax with habits.

Oh yes, I almost forgot. Their primary membership is
bearded ladies.

Is that UA enough?
