Well, Fagin is pretty clearly already a negative version fo the archetype.

Perhaps a warping of the Father to include those not actually related to the child?

Some historical examples would be preferred to these fictional ones, but Greg's comment suggests that each of us could point to one or more examples in our own lives (and that, being very personal, well known examples are hard to find).
