I would guess the important things would be:
1) To resolve the canon issues we had the last time this topic was discussed.
(Greg/John)
2) To get an update page going where people can sign up to do cities and see
which are available (Malcolm R)
3) To decide on a format, what exactly is wanted, etc.
Format-wise, I think, f'rinstance, the one thing my Cape Town writeup is missing
is three or four good URLs and at least one photo of the city. These, I think,
would make great additions. And we should agree on what exactly we are hoping to
derive from each writup; my initial concept was 'the stuff you can't get in
guidebooks', so, the weird little nooks and crannies and impressions regular
folks don't know about but which are the meat and bones of a UA game.
Market Research-wise, I initially didn't buy UA because I read Dru Pagliosotti's
review on About.com and, while the review was generally complimentary, when I
read about the BOHICAs and OACOWAs I thought 'Uh, oh. Gamer geek/Beer humor' and
stopped reading. It was only time, coincidence, and randomly trawling the stock
at dragonscroll.com looking for something to spend a voucher on that got me
a-buying.
Campaign type: Mine is Reality Cops/Circle of Friends. The characters are all
strongarms and seedy gumshoes for this repo/bail crew called Five Points
Initiatives, Inc., in Las Vegas. The CoF angle holds them together and provides
a party dynamic and a degree of loyalty; the RC angle gives them work.
