You know, Poland still has a communist party and some
pretty strong unions. There's certainly socialism in
Brittain and I remember some communist activists
outside a pub, I guess it was 1993. Spain's got some
active communists (I think there's even a communist
Tuna, although that may be my sister pulling my leg.)
As for Unlimited Freedom of speech, lessee:
CNN admitted that the US government regularly censors
news and even has men who go around and check their
stories. A professor in Florida was arrested on
Secret Evidence because he said Islamic Jihad might
have some sort of rational agenda. Our president is
openly funding religious groups (not only openly, but
specifically funding them) and you're not allowed to
present certain kinds of art in public. School
newspapers are openly censored, only members of either
the Democratic or Republican party are allowed into
national political debates (or most state ones for
that matter) and we still don't like Roman Polanski
(although I don't blame us for that one.)
I wonder what ways of saying things they'll silence
for our own protection tomorrow.
Secret Evidence, Tort law (a kind of civil suit where
you have to prove your innocence) and Lousiana law
pretty much defy the presumption of innocence for more
than a priveleged few.

Don't take this as a threat, but the last guy who
matched your description that I knew of here in the
Wyoming/Colorado area ended up stripped naked and
lashed to a barbwire fence in the winter until he died
of exposure. The guys who did it are awaiting trial,
at least.
