Ixnay on the detention centr- oh, bugger it.

In my brief summary I forgot to mention the unhappy way that we treat 
refugees. Apparently if more than a certain number of refugees want to flee 
persecution and come here, they're being inconsiderate and have to be locked 
up in spartan accomodations in the desert.

I guess we have a lot of desert, someone's gotta live there.

For the sake of completeness, I believe that my nation has been chastised by 
the UN for some aspect of human rights, whereupon the government had a sulk 
about other countries interfering in our internal matters.

I don't defend the isolationist economic rationalist attitudes of the 
government, I try to forget about them.

On the happy side, Australia's not likely to invade anybody.

Liam's probably much more accurate in his assessments than I am; he's 
clearly considered evidence that I don't have. In fact, he's given me some 
valuable ideas.
