The position of ethnic immigrants is much more positive. Although there is a
degree of racism that can be seen - rural areas are p(erhaps unfairly)
infamous for it - cities like Sydney and Melbourne are very multicultural,
and better for it. I was among the minority of blonde "Aussie" types in my
senior year, with friends of Italian, Greek, Croatian, Philipino, Maltese,
etc descent. I don't remember much racism at all (a bit of ethnic pride
between a Croatian and a Serian guy, but that's it).

Unless you're trying to come into the country now, of course, in which case
you need to take a holiday in one of the government's concentration camps.
Sorry, detention centres.

Getting ludicrously off-topic now, of course.

Brothers and sisters, I have a dream. Journalism is a ticket to ride, to
travel deep into the dark heart of the pictures you see on your TV and
feeds. And I'm going to take you on a ride with me. A short weird ride into
the heart of darkness.
