all the official live rules i've seen for games have been pretty lame, at
least by my estimation. they all tend to be "people cannot touch each other
no matter what". i don't know whether this is just the difference in gaming
styles over the atlantic, or games companies worried that they might get
sued.

i'm not so much worried as disinterested. i like roleplaying, but it's just
a hobby, like playing computer games or reading books. i don't want it
spreading into other parts of my life. if people started coming up to me in
nightclubs and talking in-character i'd probably just laugh and tell them to
piss off.
