Ah, so, the disturbing thing for most people seems to
be: instead of the GM being able to force the players
into a Scene any time the GM likes, other players can
do it, too.
Of course players could just go around and playact
their character however they wish, but, if someone
needs to talk to someone else, well, it's nice to have
an artificial way of doing so. Actually, I'm rather
pleased with the response I've seen so far. You're
right, it probably won't work, but, then again, I'm
not getting paid for it, either.
Maybe, if I leave it out on the web, in a couple of
years, players will have as much say over LARPs as GMs
do. The web-published game "Ergo" by Ian Millington
is doing something like this and I definitely support
it.

It's too bad he's so anti-Avatar. It's my own MarySue
nature (left over from my lingering Dr. Who fandom)
that drives me to play these games.

Well, yes and no. I like to be able to wander around
and interact with people, but they don't like to
interact with me, so I thought of some rules to force
them to do it.
I like it when, if I do get into a conversation with
another player, the damn thing stays on the same topic
(LARP is different from e-mail for me), because, after
all, I'm playing a game of a limited time span, not
just waiting to die.
What, you think these rules would be on all the time?
They're only there for when you can't get anyone to
talk to you. Of course, I'd have to be using them all
the time, personally.
