[UA] Open Parameters

I think UA may have something pretty important going
for it that it holds on to and that's a sense of
undefined parameters, a feeling of bisociation.

I may not agree with thanatos or toales, and I
definitely wouldn't want to get stuck in one of their
games, but, as is obvious, they are successful GMs
with satisfied players. They're intrepretation of the
rules isn't wrong and the books are still open to
interpretation.

Nobody's come back with some really depressing
"rewrite" which says, 100%, that I can't run the game
my own way.  I mean, sure, White Wolf and D&D and all
the other game companies put in that stuff about "All
these rules are optional," but that's absolute
nonsense.  Players use the rules as a sort of shield
or protection against bad GMs (like me, I suppose) or
to create some kind of consistency.  As long as the
rules don't pin anything down, I think everyone's
going to be happy.
