I've played two extremely rules light UA Larps, both written and run by
Eamon Honan. The atmosphere was great, nowhere near as stuck up as V:tM
stuff, but properly creepy. Of course, as with any LARP or game it
depended a lot on the players and the GM, but thankfully we were blessed
in both areas.
UA just seemed to fit the LARP format, it involves people talking,
grandstanding, interacting and screwing each other over. The action can
take place in a small room just as easily as in a big area, so you can run
a LARP in one room and not lose much atmosphere at all.
I don't particularly see the need for UA LARP rules as such, but then
again, I'm a big anti-mechanics kinda guy anyway.
