But it really wasn't the one requested. And if they make a movie based
on the screenplay posted, then they've violated the copyright of the
author of said screenplay.

Also, I really can't see how anyone can have a legal claim to a
contract. What if three people make and send you the video? Who are
you obligated to buy from if any? What if you entered into an agreement
with the third guy before you got the others.

It's all in how you word it.

Anyway, this is veering sharply off topic. Is there a lawyer in the
house?

So there could be a real movie out there with the same plot, the same
title, and has the Naked Goddess staring? Hell, I'll buy it right now!

Actually, I do agree with you. I just can't see how someone sent you a
tape, you owe them money. If I walk around and say "I'll buy your socks
for 20 bucks!" am I obligated to buy their socks? Maybe, but chances
are I'll be thrown in jail for being a public nuisance and not fraud.

And as Kevin said, you post it anonymously (and with a remailer if
you're really paranoid. But anyone that's going to track down your
email to sell you a nonexistant video is more desperate than I thought
possible). It's not like that'll matter. The idea is to get people
wondering, not establish credability.
