Not really. It only works *after* the dangerous event. I grab a gun and pull
the trigger. The hammer falls on an empty chamber. If it had been loaded,
and I lucked out and didn't blow my brains out, there was danger and I get a
charge. If the gun was empty, I don't get a charge, and I know it was empty
without looking...not amazingly useful
