I like using it as some type of field, in which effects are subtly different
depending on what music is within earshot. I've done that frequently as a
metagame conceit, but not in-game. I think I'd have to do something with the
'multiple versions of the same song' dynamic. How come the entropomancer gets
juice when Paul McCartny's Live & Let Die comes on, but only the plutomancer
gets juice when it's Guns & Roses? Hell I don't know. Something like that. I had
an NPC in an In Nomine game that existed only as snippets of the song
Moonshadow, by Cat Stevens. I would distort the lyrics and have the PCs hear it
during certain odd times. They went nuts over this phenomenon. It was just one
of those things I leaned into when I saw much much fun they were having with it.
