This comment reminded me of a UA fan habit that creates a lot of circular
discussions about avatars: overgeneralizing the meaning of the True King. The
avatar should probably have been named something like "The Leader of Men" or
"The Steward of the Land" or something -- True King conjures up notions of
simple superiority or excellence, which leads people into inane discussions
about things like a "True King of the Executioners" or a "True King of the
Tricksters". The King of Rock'n'Roll is a musician, not a leader.

On the other hand, perhaps the True King archetype could be extended to the
archetype of "the man who attaches himself to a Thing": a country, a town, an
organization, a movement. The "domain" and "followers" ideas in the avatar
description would have to be juggled a little. But we tread closely here to a
generic avatar description, which is my complaint above: _every_ avatar is
attached to symbols and ideas, which dilutes the specificity of the "man who is
attached to a Thing".
