Well, it would have to be a -mathematical- beauty, wouldn't it?
-Simplistic- beauty is a little out of reach! :)
I think it was on the Deadlands list that I first heard RM referred to as
'RuleMonster', and when DL players diss something's rules, you just -know-.
That's why I like the UA rules so much. You can love or hate the 'pick your own
skills' thing as you prefer, but irrespective of that, once into the actual cogs
and gears the game is rock-solid.

CDs mostly, but with a line in to a sound system from my PC I could do casette
if someone asked. Mainly I've tailored it to what I know my players listen to
most. It's all about keeping the immersion going. That's why I'm so keen on the
idea of campaign logs.

Hmmm - that's what I was going to do... I see your point that musical tastes
might get in the way, but my group is so diverse in terms of musical tastes that
I don't think it's possible to find common ground. I had a hard enough time
coming up with the campaign soundtrack, and even then I am forced to conclude
that each person hates maybe 20% of the stuff.

It's terrible, but true. I'm still attending my D&D game, where I am only a
player, but with GMing in general - and UA in particular - I find that if I
don't shut the games down over exams my ability to concentrate on studies takes
a dive. This isn't the case for some games I've run, but the richness of
possibility contained in the UAverse means that if you don't walk around RL with
your UA scoops open, you're making a criminal error. Life is just so crammed
with 'ObUA' stuff.

Strange, when -G sent 'New Joke City' it came along fine, but this was just
twenty pages of file inclusion garble. Is there some other way you could get it
to those of us who are on the digest?
