[UA] Cons to Watch out for

How ya gonna get the deposit slips printed? They use
the same MICR numbers as the ones on the bottom of the
checks. Actually, if you get ahold of somebody's
checks, you can just have a whole bunch printed for
you by Deluxe or, even better, whichever company
prints the checks. All a check company usually
requires is a voided check. You can cross out the
address and write in your own on it and the check
company will simply print you some new checks and mail
it (you don't usually have to pay on the same
account.) You can't change the name on the checks,
though, because the check printer will call to verify
name changes. Illinois has some pretty tight bank &
check fraud security guidelines, so this dodge
probably wouldn't work there.

It would be a lot easier to just use a bank which
provides blank deposit slips. Then all you need to do
is use that one voided check to fill in the customer's
account number and make withdrawls. They'll check your
ID, but not closely enough to spot a fake one. This
actually happened to me once at BoA. It took months
to get it resolved and royally screwed me over.
