[UA] Mostly OT bad guys winning

I think it's pretty clear that the bad guy wins in The
Omen.  Father tries to kill his Antichrist son but is
killed by the police.  Son goes to live with politicians.  

I don't know what happens in the sequels, but even if he is
defeated in the sequels, the movie was meant to be a
stand-alone when it was filmed.  

I only saw The Boys Of Brazil once, but I have the
impression that the Hitler clone wins, especially since his
father died.  Someone with a better memory than me can
correct me.

I suppose that Freddy wins in Nightmare On Elm Street, but
that pretty much is part of an ongoing trend of the bad guy
being defeated and coming back, so that doesn't really
count.

Good comment on Brazil, BTW.

There are plenty of movies with Pyrrhic victories, though. 
Or no victories.  Reservoir Dogs easily fits in there (and
one could debate that Pink did survive with the loot so the
bad guy won).  Shallow Grave is definitely a Pyrrhic
victory.  The "good guy" wins, but he goes to jail and
loses his closest friends.  

I guess this is tangent to UA in that flawed characters can
win, but usually life just sucks for people.

Oh, and Memento definitely fits in one those categories up
there, but I won't mention how for those people who haven't
seen it (and by God, go see it!).
