I think you mentioned something like this before and
it certainly is an attractive possibility for a
campaign or a group of characters. I've used an
Avatar of the Demogogue as the subtle motivator for a
group of reality cops before. The idea of a PC group
(or even a particular cabal) who all have Avatars
which feed off one another has a lot of promise.
This also reminds me of the Sun Twins from the MAGE
comic. I kind of stopped budgeting for it about the
time it seemed to be getting interesting again. (The
issue where they smoke the prophetic joint.)
I suppose the mystic marijuana angle is kind UA, too.
