I would probably make Lingomancy available to players,
or use it as a suggestion for someone trying to create
their own magic style, but I wouldn't use it for an
NPC. I would definitely tinker with it and make
gaining charges require a little more sacrifice or
attention to detail.

There's nothing more purely artistic than a low budget
movie, even if it's an ode or clone of another source.
Shakespear used nothing but ripped-off material and he
is still revered today. His Spanish contemporary, De
Vega, was a little more original and does anybody in
the English speaking world remember him? Well, it
would help if they translated a few more works -which
are very good.
The problem, though, is that if you mention an
artistic project to artists (and RPGers, like it or
not, are all artists of a sort -like all creators, we
tend to dream out loud), if you aren't careful, you
will get opinions back.
Here are mine:
Why aren't you telling the other performers about the
epideromancer? Are you actually gonna have this guy
cut himself on film (without prosthetics, it would
appear, judging from your budget.)
You're not actually going to use the term "Occult
Underground," are you? I did once, during a game, and
it sounds pretty stupid out loud (no offense, Tynes
and Stolze.) I think it's supposed to encapsulate an
idea rather than serve as mystic jargon. Plus, it's
redundant (Occult and Underground both imply "hidden,"
only "Undergound" has criminal connotations and
"Occult" has magic ones.) It would probably work as
part of an alternating list of descriptions ("Those in
the Know," "The Clued-in People," "The Hidden World,"
"The Secret Half," "The Occult Underground.")
Are you using the OU as some sort of analogy (symbolic
of drugs, perhaps, or illicit sex or blasphemy?)
I think that Zander's real name should be "Roy."
In short, I think your basic outline is very artistic
and dramatic, but I'd like a longer, more detailed pitch.
